Several false starts over the past few months, but this is not going to be one of them. I still haven't gained all the weight back that I'd lost, that's good, but I've been at a stand-still for way too long. I really need to get on track, for me, yes, but more so for my husband who DID gain all of his weight back and then some. He's on BP meds, having issues with dizzy spells and no energy, and wants to nap a lot, these are not good signs. He seems to do a better job at trying to stay healthy when I'm really enthusiastic about it- so it's time for me to ramp up that enthusiasm for the both of us.

Today I ate healthy foods and even got at least 30 minutes of exercise in. I just didn't get ENOUGH calories because I got so busy with work, I ended up skipping lunch. It's easy for me to undereat and that's not healthy either. Tomorrow is a trip to the grocery store to prepare for a weekend of cooking. Having healthy and tasty things to eat already prepared is half the battle for me.

I've got to be the example.

I've been away for a bit and not tracking my meals. I had my first time ever getting Covid and I lost my energy for a while and started falling into some bad habits (my kryptonite- chocolate ice cream). I've gained about three pounds and am rather surprised that it wasn't worse than that. I certainly FEEL like I'd gained ten pounds. Especially considering I haven't been exercising either. Covid took my umph away but I've got it back now thankfully. For me, this is about maintaining a lifestyle change, not about being on a "diet". I'm not going to waste time beating myself up. I'm just going to try to get back on track with my healthy lifestyle. Which involves tracking my food when I go astray. So here I am again my friends. I do have a goal, because goals are good to have, to lose 8-10 lbs before Labor Day.
