Rocking and Rolling this week. I didn't spend a lot of time in the gym, but have been busy busy busy outside the house. Just one thing after the other. And I'm currently sunburned from taking the family to the pumpkin patch and farm yesterday. Spent 4 hours walking around and doing all the things. Boiled peanuts, snow cones, roasted seasoned corn on the We all had a great time and ended the day at our favorite bbq place. I had brisket and smoked turkey guilt free and it was so good. I even had some fried okra that I haven't enjoyed in a while. After the Pumpkin farm adventure, I went over to a friend's house to take pictures of her daughter for her first homecoming dance. It was just a good day, busy but good.

Today I'm taking it easy and staying indoors or on the covered porch. lol. No need to make the sunburn worse. Laundry (oh joy..) and other household chores is the plan. And sometime after lunch we'll hit the grocery store up. Oh and since Hubs have joined me on my high protien diet and cutting the junk out, he's lost 19lbs. ^_^ Super proud of him.

This week: Monday and Thursday are my trainer days at the gym. And my sister is coming up and said she would like to go to the gym with me, so we're going to go Friday morning after I drop off the little one. She is currently doing intermittent fasting, and it works really well for her and her schedule. I can't remember off the top of my head how much weight she has lost on it. She's been mostly focused on the eating aspect since September is one of her busy months for work. She's just adding in more exercise, which is good. Then the usual run around with the kids. And I think I'm meeting a friend for coffee and catching up, Wednesday morning. And then dinner with another girlfriend to blow off some steam too this week, if she feels up to it after work. All in All, going to be a great week!

Oh almost forgot!

September: 13.4lbs lost during the month! Got below 400 lbs! Total lost: 46 lbs. And down a couple clothing sizes. Motivation is up, I've slacked on tracking some, but still stayed within my general diet goals. Had first visit with bariatric surgeon's office.

October goals: Mini goal 1: Out of the 380's!, Mini goal 2: Lose 10 lbs and hit 377lbs, which would put me 1/4 the way to my goal weight. Mini goal 3: Hit 375 lbs, which would put me down 60lbs! I plan to take progress pics around the 16-20th of this month.

Good Morning everyone! I tried to journal a couple days ago, but it's been a bit crazy. Lets see, where to begin.

Lets go chronologically!

So last week two things happened! I was asked if I wouldn't mind having my workout recorded at the gym and being part of a client spotlight. I did make said video on Thursday and currently have just over 500 views and some very supportive comments. ^_^ I also met a Joey at the gym!! Yup! A baby kangaroo. It was so neat.

I also talked to my trainer about switching from Tues/Thursday sessions to Monday/Thursday. I feel that I just need that extra day between sessions to recoup. And of course I took off this week from the gym because we were suppose to be in Georgia for a 6 day vacation. Which we ended up cancelling due to the hurricane. -_- So 2 months of planning and reservations down the drain. I did get full refunds for my hotel and cabin rental though.

Then I switched gears on Monday from packing/leaving for a trip to putting everything away and cleaning for possible evacuees. Then yesterday, my potential evacuees decided to both stay at their homes since the storm had moved further south east. Ugh what a week.

Had my offical weighin at the doc office on Monday as well, per their records I'm down an even 40lbs now from June. And I don't have to redo blood work til my november appointment.

And I know I've mentioned that I'm in the process of getting approved for weightloss surgery. My appointment with the bariatric surgeon's office was yesterday. They had a cancellation and asked if I would like to move up my appointment. It was good a appointment. Got evaluated, lots of info, and still moving forward with it at this point. The surgeon strongly recommended the gastric bypass for me. I'm still on the fence about it. But I don't feel pressured to make the call for which type I want or event that I'm 100% about pushing forward getting it. The earliest I would have surgery would be Jan/Feb, but I want to see what I can do by myself between now and then.

And that brings us up to today. Down a few more pounds. I haven't been the best at tracking food in the last few days with all the crazy going on, but the scale says I've done okay. So I'm not going to stress it. I did hit the gym this morning for a walk on the treadmill, then the grocery store, since we were out of fruit and cheese and other perishable items.

Today's plan is to take it easy. Have a breather and enjoy the weather. I am planning to go walking later at the park, probably with the family in tow since the weather is beautiful in my part of Florida today. Woke up to the low 60s. It's one of those days that just feels glorious.

Just want to say how awesome the community on FS is. Yall are really the best. Was completely overwhelmed by everyone's support on my last journal. And I'm not a person who gets overwhelmed easily. The uplifting I received from yall was something I really needed this morning too. So Thank you all so so very much for that.

And the new members who found my post motivating and inspirational, If I can do, anyone can. Just take it one day, one hour, one choice at a time. And all the single better choices for food, or to take that one walk to the stop sign on the corner and back, they help. And they add up over time. ^_^ And if you have questions, dont be afraid to ask them. If you need someone just to chat with, shoot me a message. I know how hard it is starting out and developing new habits. But Yall got this and this site helps and the people here are rooting for you!

Plans for the day: Walking a couple miles, getting my steps in. I might not go to the gym for that, but walk the neighborhood instead. Not sure yet. Breakfast for dinner tonight since we are emptying the fridge as best we can before our trip next week too. Baaaaacon is going to be so good. I typically avoid it because of its fat content and higher calories. And Turkey bacon just isn't the same and I find it to be more like cardboard and unable to satisfy that bacon craving. Turkey sausage is fine though.

I need to hit the farmer's market for a couple things to get us to next Tuesday. Some tomatoes, and their salad mix are on my list. I also have to pick up grits and eggs. If yall have noticed, there is a lack of eggs in my breakfast unless it's in pancakes. They are excellent protien, but I had an unfortunate experience with them when I was a kid that has left me scarred and unable to eat them. I've tried. And just cant, but I can still cook them like no one's business!

With the soreness in my thighs today, I'm going to take it easy on the exercise and not push too hard since I know I'll be pushed hard tomorrow at the gym. I'm considering changing my days with the trainer from Tues/Thurs to Monday/Thurs to give me an extra day to recover between sessions.
