6/10/18 feet/ankles very swollen today. Is it the carbs/icecream or is it the salt in broth chicken cooked in? Chicken did not taste salty at all and I added some broth to flavor the bits I had - I am pretty sensitive to salt taste so I didn't think I'd overdone it. Drinking broth this morning that is cooking in IP on slow cook overnight for 9 hours now. Made with fresh 3.15 lb whole fryer chicken after IP cooked in salted water and meat pulled out and salted water mostly drained. Added 2 sam's rotisserie chicken carcasses and about 4 oz I think of chicken feet. Tastes AMAZING. Combo of rotisserie seasonings, fresh chicken carcass, and feet? Really fantastic. Will do a batch with just fresh fryer carcass and feet with just a bit of salt and ACV.

6/9/18 Woke up 7pm a bit more tired today than yesterday again. 12 noon and still a bit groggy. Want to nap. Still feel like a lot of air inside sloshing around waiting to come out. Had a good breakfast. Will skip cheese with breakfast from now on and see how breakfast works for me for a few weeks. More tired as day went on and napped at 3. Felt better after, but didn't take care of my menu and ate what I wanted without adjusting for good nutrition and ended up with way too many calories. Wonder how I'll feel tomorrow after eating ice cream at 9:30 tonight. Cooked up IP chicken earlier and now making bone and foot broth. Hope the flavor works. Got to find a way to make my broth taste better because I don't want to be drinking coffee and not getting enough water - I love to drink broth though so if I can make it healthy and tasty, that would be great.

6/8/18 A bit tired getting up today. Bought 85% dark chocolate at Aldi's today with a good fat content and 4.5 carbs per half small bar - just the right amount for me. Also started up my meloxicam and herbs again today - stopped when I began fast and took first dose today as knee pain getting extreme and could no longer walk with leg straightened. Had a quick bout of gas in afternoon - due to chocolate or meds? Made a "paleo bread" that is also keto tonight - ingredient list said 3/4 cups almond meal but should have said 3-4 cups almond meal, so I basically made an egg souffle. Very eggy tasting - ate a few bites and then toasted some and had with butter - still not good - then added mozzarella, melted it, and added Rao tomato basil sauce - was ok but not worth the effort. Will try again with correct ingredients. Had a delicous salad for dinner with avocado and bacon. Then late night had major runs. Don't know if from meds, chocolate, raw greens, egg souffle. Was pretty bad.

6/7/18 Had to take it easier yesterday due to knee, so not as much activity. This am my ankles are more swollen than they have been since the fast, though not as much as prior. Not sure if due to something eaten or activity change. Had bacon which is high sodium yesterday. Also last night was beginning of toots, again this am, which I have not had at all since almost beginning of fast. Is it just my gut bacteria getting back to a normal level or is it an imbalance from adding yogurt and fruit the day before yesterday? If it stays minimal, then OK. If it goes back to previous amounts then I will do another fast at end of June and see if I can figure out what foods might cause it through elimination of various foods from my routine. *** Runs at 1:45 within hour of coffee n creamer with splenda - threw rest away and adjusted amounts in tracking. Runs could be from any of 3 ingredients. Cutting all of them out and will see if things get back to normal. Having macadamias instead.

6/6/18 Again not too hungry today and totally manageable. Must be due to the high fat content - I have enough energy even though I'm not eating a lot of calories. Not testing ketones. Enough energy + eating at calorie deficit + eating close to my goal macro grams. If I lose weight by the end of June I will consider this successful. If not I will get something to test ketone levels. I feel much more level and less tired than I did on my SAD eating pattern with an excess of junk food. Looking forward to frying up some catfish for dinner tomorrow. I have my breakfast down to a simple pattern that is right in my goal macros, something I really like, and it's easy for me. Looking forward to practicing some lunch and dinner meals that fit well for me too.
