Finally a drop. I wasn't sure if it would happen today. But half a pound. Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming.

Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed and I look at how far I have to go, but .2 pounds at a time gets me closer and closer. Every little bit helps. When you go two weeks without movement it can feel discouraging and I needed this today.

I have also switched from Keto to the anti-inflammatory diet. Back when I talked to my endocrinologist she said there is no diet that has been proven to help or cure thyroid issues that do not include hoshimotos disease. Some have success with Keto, some with the auto-immune diet, some paleo, some with the anti-inflammatory. Well I followed keto for 3.5 months and the weight loss was minimal and I felt sluggish and when I looked at the diet options and thought about how I have felt in the past eating different foods, the foods on this list make me feel the best. I'm looking for a lifestyle change not a fad diet so it has to work long term and for me, Keto wasn't it. My husband and I studied the diet and we are committed to trying it for a minimum of 2 months and then we will re-evaluate if we feel this is the best lifestyle for us.

My husband isn't a big fan of Kefir or Chia seeds, but he is willing to help in any way that he can.

I have no idea what I weigh. This week I have a sticky note over my scale that says PEACE and a note on the fridge that says Nothing tastes as good as PEACE feels. And I never feel peace after I eat unhealthy, only guilty.

However, this week has probably been a bust. I'm an ACT coordinator for a local school and we had the ACT this week and that is so much work it wore me out and afterwards the school orders pizza for everyone and I had two pieces with an ice cream sandwich, I wasn't feeling like myself I had a fever and had lost my voice by the end of the day.

Yesterday I called in sick and didn't even crawl out of bed to watch TV until 11AM. I lived on theraflu and ginger ale which is all sugar. Then my husband brought home ribs and Keto friendly sides but lets face it BBQ sauce is full of sugar.

I'm back to work today and I don't know why I thought today would be a good day to intermittently fast, due the theraflu has sugar in it and so I'm not really fasting. And because all that is in me is sugar I'm starving and lunch is several hours away. So I might not be binging or eating to many calories, but I've been completely inactive, laying in bed and sipping sugar filled drinks. So much for PEACE.

What food or exercise choice has you feeling proud? Yesterday, I was feeling proud most of the day as I was making really good choices and each time I feel proud it encourages me to stay on track. The day before I knew I had only had around 900 calories so I almost let myself have a night cap with my husband and I decided on tea instead. I felt proud especially the next day when I dropped below 220.

Last night I was less proud. The night did not go as planned. I ended up not making asparagus and carrots with the Chicken and made Mac and cheese instead because my friends husband was in the hospital and I was watching her kids and I know they are picky and would't eat the veggies so I opted for what they would eat. And instead of making myself and husband something different I joined them. Even though my calories for the day were under 1400 and I can have up to 2100 and still lose 1 pound per week, I gain ed .2 pounds and I know it was the carbs and processed foods that were part of dinner. I haven't had a day with that many carbs in a long time. And today I packed left overs because I hate wasting food. So I'm worried I'll go up tomorrow despite having a low calorie amount.

But I'm still proud because I'm not letting this set back be a set back. I'm starting today on the right track. And although I'm having some carbs with my lunch, I'm still making healthier decisions and keeping my calories in check. So once again I ask, what choice has you feeling proud?

I'm excited to have reached my 2teens!!!

Only 2.4 pounds I'm back to what I was last January after having my son and before my thyroid stopped working...AGAIN. No excuses though.

As long as I can keep my thyroid working then I should see results from my diet.

I'm really excited about my lunch today. I know the carbs/sugars are off for my totals today, because I made everything from scratch and no what is in them, but rather than create the recipes I simply found frozen versions you can buy and clicked those. I mean I even made the mayo that is in the artichoke dip for my veggies I know there is zero added sugar and yes there is a little natural sugar in an egg, but not enough that there would be that much sugar in my artichoke dip etc. Oh well, I have a guesstimate on here and I know my fats are a bit higher and my sugars a bit lower, but all in all a really good day and more Keto friendly than it appears. Especially since the coating for the Cordon Bleu is Almond flour, parmesan, and ground nuts. More calories, but way less carbs.

Oh and last nights sweet potato fries, pan fried in coconut oil were delicious as was the bunless burger. I really have been enjoying food.

What I'm most proud of is last night after the kids were finally in bed and it had been a long day, my husband and I were going to cuddle up and read together (I love when he reads to me and vice versa). He poured himself a night cap and I wanted one, but instead I opted for caffeine free herbal lemon tea. I probably wouldn't have dropped if I had let myself have that glass of wine or gin martini.

Every good choice adds up.
