I was really disappointed this weekend. I felt as if I was following my diet well and I was working hard outside all weekend long. Yet I gained and on Sunday morning I weighted 217.4. I was so frustrated. So when my husband suggested going out for brunch after church I was all for it. I ordered a skillet and while I only ate half I didn't even want to think about the calories in there. The rest of the day was great I hate a mango kefir and ginger smoothie for breakfast and for dinner a broccoli, chicken, and riced cauliflower casserole with my homemade gluten free sugar free cream of chicken soup in it. I had a modest portion. When hungry just like other days I munched on raw veggies. I usually don't log on weekends because I try to stay off my computer at home to focus on family. But at work I use my breaks to log on here, which is why I'm logging today.

This morning I was in disbelief when I saw I was down to 216. I don't really believe I lost 1.4 pounds, but it is amazing how the day after I had a cheat meal I lose when I was eating perfectly all weekend. I'm so close to 215 and in my head my first goal was to get down to 215. I have jeans I bought at 215 that I want to try on again. I haven't had any jeans that fit and refused to buy any because I can get leggings for $5 and I can wear leggings at work while I can't wear jeans. Yet, I really have missed wearing jeans.

I am so close!

Well I think only going up .4 was pretty good for how I ate this weekend. I ate dinner with my family on Friday, then my mom brought over ice cream, then I had forgotten I made late night dinner plans with a friend after our kids went to bed, so I ate light, but still had a drink and left food on my plate instead of finishing it.

Saturday I was great, but I spent 5 hours working on making croissants to freeze for Easter, then that morning I just pop them in for 8 minutes and I have fresh croissants which are a million times better than the ones in a tube. I didn't have any that day, but Sunday I had two croissant roles. And it was finally nice so we invited friends over for a bonfire and I let myself have 2 glasses of wine.

But it is back to reality and back to counting every calorie and losing weight. I would like to be under 200 by the start of summer vacation the last week in May. It is possible, but not with the way I've been cheating on weekends. I've only been losing 1-1.5 pounds per week instead of 2-2.5 which I would need to lose in order to make that goal. I need to up my cardio, which will be easier with this weather. I would really like to lift a bit again, and stick to my calories. I've got this.
