Saturday night, I had to go to the ER. My gallbladder has hurt me on and off for several years now. That is one of the reasons I changed my diet. Well the ER said my gallbladder has to go. I have to have surgery and get it removed. I'm scared, I've never had surgery before. I know it's not a big deal, I'm still scared.

I understand. Any time you go under it can be a scary process. You'll be surrounded by people doing their darndest to keep you alive, safe and well.

Mine was removed in 1996 after a few years of intensely painful attacks. I haven't missed it one bit! The surgery was an easy one as surgery goes, as long as they can do it with a laparoscope. I had mine done on Wednesday and went back to work on Monday. Sore of course, but not bad. Best of luck to you! Being fearful is normal, surgery is only minor if it is being done on someone else!

so they want to take a chunk out of the monkey! tough way to lose a few! Trying to make you laugh....did it work? you have my best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery!!! Keep us posted.

It's always scary; of course you feel that way. A bunch of strangers are taking a knife to you! It's a big leap of trust and faith.
