I am pleased that when I weighed in this morning that I am getting to log in a loss of 0.6 pounds. This week I ranged from 0.4 pounds above to 0.8 pounds below. Clearly no giant swings! Yesterday I was 0.4 pounds above... that kind of a week.

Generally, I was eating below my planned calories with only one day above however the scale has been slow to respond. There is always the possibility that I am under recording what I am eating - certainly that is statistically what most people do and I am no exception!

A number of you asked me last week for a picture of my haircut. I figured out the selfie button and discovered I don't have to take my picture in a mirror. That tells you about how tech savvy I am! Anyway, here it is.

One week until Christmas! I am so thrilled because the whole family is gathering at my house again. It is our family tradition to have Christmas at my house and the kids and their families all come here. I cook the turkey in my wood stove and make homemade pies and buns and do an old fashioned Christmas. The family stays the night of Christmas Eve when my son makes a big meal for everyone to share and then we play cards until the wee hours. My grandchildren are excited to have Christmas here again - and are planning to come cut the Christmas tree on Monday. What a pleasure! This will be the first Christmas since all my house renos were done.
