Happy Monday! I usually like Mondays, they are the start of something new and I'm always about the reboot! Tuesdays, on the other hand, have never had any redeeming quality to me, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here!

I woke up this morning to 28 degrees and sunshine! It almost made me want to put on some walking shoes, a warm hoodie, and take the dog out for a walk. The dog had different plans, and I came to my senses when I opened the front door!

In all seriousness, I do not get enough exercise. I bought a VeryFitPro tracking device (only $30 from Amazon) and I like it. It tracks my steps, heart rate, sleep patterns, etc.

I have set a small step goal that I have been trying to reach daily for over a month now. Specifically, I want to take at least 3000 steps per day. This may seem like nothing to some people, but for me - it's huge! Even on my busiest of days, I just barely get to 2900 steps. I am mystified how some people do 10k easily in a day. A pharmacist once told me that they all track more than 10k steps per day just doing their jobs. Most I ever did was 5k+ in my kitchen making Thanksgiving dinner.

I work from home as a paralegal and find myself sitting in my office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a break to eat lunch, refill my water, and use the restroom. I tracked 934 steps on Friday.

I'm also a part time college student earning a Masters in Admin. So - after dinner I usually find myself sitting all night reading or writing a paper.

I bought a treadmill - my husband uses it every day (to hang his clothes on). I do not think I've put more than 10 miles on it.

How do you incorporate exercise into your lives?

I thought about getting one of those elevated desk tops so I had to stand while I worked, considered scheduling workouts instead of "fitting them in" - which never works, and even thought about yoga.

At this point, I'm thinking it might be easier to become a pharmacist. (:
