inch worm, inch worm, an inch at a time, an oz at a time. But since March of 2017 I've gone from a BMI of 50.2 to 41. I've lost 3 dress sizes. I feel great.
But life is not perfect! I still have problems! I'm still human! Rats. I thought it would solve everything, this losing weight and getting healthy. Unfortunately it doesn't.
But it is a lot better than the alternative.

So as you can see I've been in another plateau. This is about the third time it has occurred since I started my journey last fall. So I'm not panicking. as I posted on another keto site:
"Don't use weight loss as your barometer, if you are doing this (woe) for weight loss. That can totally unfocus you and it is not an accurate indicator of your progress. Case in point: In my journey I lose about 1.5 lbs per week, (I'm 73 y/o woman) except that every one and a half months or so I hit a plateau where I don't lose anything for couple of weeks. I've learned that it is my body resting and adjusting. At the end of that time my weight loss picks up and I have found that during that time my fat has "relocated" (for lack of a better word!) and I've lost inches off my body, especially, for me, in my upper body (The last to go I think is my butt!)
This morning I weighed in at 228.0, down exactly .2 lbs! But I'm excited because I know that means I'll start losing again. As a side note I took a good hour last night to tot up my weight/inches lost since I began (about 3 months before I joined Fat Secret). I've lost a total of 81.8 lbs and 15.75 inches. Actually I didn't start measuring until February, so it is probably more. I know I've gone from a dress size 28-30 to 20-22.
Here's to a great way of living!

Well, no loss this week, but I was sick with some intestinal disorder Tuesday and Wednesday. Took until Friday till I felt human again. I'm assuming the added stress of illness took it's effect. Actually I went back up to 231 but am back down to 228. It is all part of the process. We can't always control everything! I'm back at the gym this week, and doing 1/2 mile now. Started off in July only able to do a bit less than 1/4 of a mile, so I'm making progress.
Glad to have some cooler weather; it gives me a bit more energy. When I started around last November I could barely keep my house clean. Now I spend about 2 hours every day and it is getting so that it takes less and less time. Decluttering now for about 1 1/2 years and it is such a help! Pretty soon I'll be able to get rid of the storage space I rent, which will be another blessing.
Also got a few new clothes as I've lost about 2 dress sizes since I began. And I'm able to find clothes that are less expensive now that I'm size 20-22.
So, all in all I'm a happy camper:)

Another week of tweaking. One day I din't eat enough protein and I had to eat early the next day. Lesson learned.
Also I'm finding that as an older woman (73) I need less calories for my basically sedentary life-style than the RDA recommends. I eat until I'm full, keep my macro's balanced and exercise 3 times a week (swimming is great for arthritis!) and my energy keeps increasing, my sleep is better and my brain focus is brighter. So I'm not going to worry that I don't align with the "norm" (whatever that is).
One of the biggest (and hardest won) lessons I've learned is that EVERY body is different and we really do have to do our homework and find out what works for us in a healthy balanced way. The key to life is moderation and balance. Without that nothing works.
