Three years ago I saw a pic of myself and wondered how the heck did that happen? I weighed 262, which is what I weighed on delivery day with each of my daughters. Yikes! I decided that I would NOT diet, but eat better and log my food. Guess what? I lost 30 pounds. 232 was GREAT, but then I slowly stopped doing those things and slowly I could feel the pounds creep back on. My clothes were feeling tighter, etc. . .I got on the scale and found that I had gained back 20 of the pounds that I had lost. I didn't want to go any higher, so this summer I tried some Advocare products, started doing Zumba and lost 18 pounds (234). I didn't want to keep paying for the products (very spendy), so I quit using them and, sadly, started gaining again. By Christmas I was really starting to think that I better do something before I ended up regaining all the weight that I lost this summer. I got a new phone for Christmas and found the fatsecret app. I did not make a "weight loss" resolution for the new year, but I did start using the app on Jan. 1. I started at 247 which is only 5 pounds shy of starting completely over from my loss this summer. My current goal weight is 195 because coming in under 200 pounds for the first time in 20 years would be a VERY satisfying goal to reach. I will consider working toward a lower goal weight after I accomplish this first 50 pounds.

Short-term GOALS:
Don't quit on myself even if I mess up.
Get moving--do a little bit more each day.
Log everything--the good choices AND the bad.
Communicate--I am not in this alone.
Find Challenges and participate 100%.
Go to the doctor for a full physical--get the truth about where I am now.


Mid-term GOALS:
Go below 200 pounds for the first time in 20 years.
Play 3-on-3 basketball in late July.
Healthier, happier, more satisfied with myself.
PLAY!!!!!

Long-term GOALS:
Healthy, happy, satisfied.
Be an active, healthy role-model for my daughters.
PLAY!!!!
