Sad. Had to sleep in 2.5 hours so that I wdn't get up and eat. I am going to shake this sugar/carb monkey on my back. I looked at my weight and noticed I have only been on this site for 3 days. It seems like a years that I have been eating cabbage and peppers. I had a whole bag of donuts, (Hostess), in my sight and I just went to bed last night. Did not even get up and eat the entire bag. Back pat.

Good morning! I took a peek at your food diary. Very good to record in detail all food so you can look back and see where changes can be made. If I was trying to cut carbs and sugar here is what I would do...Breakfast I would add some protein like eggs or meat to bulk it up and keep hunger at bay. Once you've gotten used to this way of eating you may find you don't need 3 meals a day. You may want to try IF. That's what happened to me. Skip the watermelon, bananas, frosted flakes, mash potatoes, rolls, and bread. In the beginning being very strict can help shut down those cravings. I pretty much ate meat and veggies for a long time. Even now when I eat sugar it makes me want more more more. I know this and yet I still do it....And I too have gone to bed to avoid eating...Great big high five for not eating entire bag!!!

Also, get the donuts out of the house. They're bad for everyone! Eat fat, it kills cravings for carbs. Checkout dietdoctor.com.

I cut out the eggs because of the chol. 420 for 2 (my chol. is off the charts, take 2 medications for it)..did check out dietdoc...lol...but had serious renal failure 2x in last 2 months due to sudden BP drop and it stated reducing carbs can effect your BP. (I also have high BP that is hard to regulate). This STUPID body...going to cook ne a 2 egg veggie omelet w/ cheese TY...u all are so helpful

I think they've decided eggs don't affect cholesterol. Now, I'm not sure who "they" are and it might change again tomorrow...

Something I was thinking about...are you on blood pressure medicine? If you are you may need to talk to your dr about adjusting it as you progress...my dr took me off completely after just 3 months or so...

yes.....on med. just got switched due to the kidney thing. Only ate one egg but hmmm.. still want that donut badly. Going to shower and leave the house. Meeting friend for lunch at 1p. And "they" are always saying something. "They" make me afreeeedddd of everything..LOL

I will give you a pat on the back also. *pat pat pat* I'm wondering what type of diet has your Dr recommended? Also are you using the professional option of this app where it sends reports to your physician?

It's not easy changing your thoughts, habits or wants that's for sure. My first few months, actually 6 months were rough but logging helped me at least get control. I decided I CAN eat what I want but I have to log it and can only eat 1250 calories a day, problem is, sugary, high carb foods gave me the muchies so I changed up. I still don't watch food shows.
