Had a really good gym session yesterday. As it happened, the trainer had no clients or a class and had cleaning equipment in hand to wipe down the machines. He was more than willing to walk me through some exercises that would help strengthen my weaker hip accounting for the limitations imposed by my surgeons. Holy Hannah, those muscles are stiff today (in a good way) and I think these exercises will help break down more scar tissue. It's a real weird feeling when it happens, kind of an internal burning itch that lasts a day or two, but having experienced it before I know it will go away.

I have another decision to consider. Past experience with diets and failures to stick with them over time, indicate that I'm reaching the point of blowing it. I always do stellarly well in the early months until I don't. Food noise is starting to get louder and cravings are getting increasingly hard to resist. My bariatric doc, my regular doc have both recommended Ozempic as an aid to getting the rest of this job done. I meet with them both on the 19th (not planned, it just happened to book that way) and am seriously going to consider it. Originally bariatric surgery was on the table, but for me, that was a very hard no. I've managed to mutilate my body enough through accident (and of course terrible food habits). Now I'm nearing the BMI that makes me ineligible for it anyways so yay!.

I know a number of people that are already using the drug and they say that for them it is lifechanging. Food noise gone and there are virtually no cravings making adhering to a plan much easier. It is this element that appeals to me as I've proven in past that I've not been able to stay the course. Having written this, I think my decision is made. I will try it.
