Well, today is turning out to be much better than yesterday. Jeff is feeling a lot better. No nausea. Pain is under control. And he is keeping his leg elevated like he's supposed to! He said he didn't sleep very well but he never woke me up to get him anything so I slept well!
The best thing about today is that I got a call from Mayo about the job I interviewed for, and they offered me the position. I am so thrilled! I'll find out tomorrow what the start date will be.
I am doing better today on the carbs. I am able to concentrate here at home and get my menus in order so I should continue to lose. I am glad to be able to work on the OWL portion of the Atkins diet. It almost seemed like as soon as I started OWL, I got sidetracked so I am not increasing my carbs this week or adding another food. I will stay with the 25 net carbs and then continue with the addition of the nuts and see what happens. Next week I'll venture out into a new food but for now, I'll stick with this.
Thanks for all of the prayers for my husband. I'm feeling the love!
