I will write myself into well-being -Nancy Mair

January 9th is my one year anniversary on FatSecret!!!! The journals that I keep that kindly talk back to me has been a huge part of my weight loss success:) Your support is invaluable. I have been fortunante enough to write a daily dialogue almost every day in the year 2010. It clears my head and calms my restless spirit. I call this daily ritual the daily dialogue because I am really conversing with someone much wiser and saner as I write, lol, it helps me find peace among life's outer distractions. TOWANDA!!!!

My first Journal Entries....on 01/10/10 &

Had a lovely day in the beginning but when I got home and realized all the crap I need to do and wasn't getting done I felt blah and started eating candy. This will set me back for all the progress I have made since the first. As I recently learned it is harder to feel happy and easier to cop out and feel blah. One positive thing I did was keep track of all I ate even though it really wasn't the best choices at the end of the day. I will do better and keep out of the sugar because I am highly addicted to sugar highs which don't feel great after I come crashing down. What is done is done and I will accept responsibility for the damage done and Monday do better. P.S. it is time to get rid of or put the holiday candy out of sight.


I worked out and did the stair master for 30 minutes at a level 6. Am working up to do the full hour at that level. I burned 250 calories and feel wonderful afterward as I am wide awake now and am ready to face my Monday. Took a sneak peak at the scale and it is up 2 pounds, what the heck Lisa, you cannot get by with eating any crap? See what I can do with the rest of the week and what happens on Friday on my real weigh in day. Also was offered a free or 1/2 price session with a trainer from Christine at Mary's school. Although a trainer seems like pure drudgery to me I will see what I can do and accept this as a wonderful opportunity. 7:22PM All is well.
