Haven't tried kale in soup. Might be interesting. I generally hate the stuff though I keep trying it because the healthy hype surrounding it.

Thanks, everybody! I make soup a lot, but this was a first for me. I began totally planning on a corn chowder, which honestly would have tasted a lot better. But I decided, not to go the way of cream and even more calories. Next time! Anyway, Petra, I'm with you and not a big fan of raw kale. Wilted in soup it is so great for some reason. Even my lads, who are not always fond of green things, say it is "the best!" 😁

Greek yogurt instead of cream. Add towards the end.

Well, Katsolo, my man hates yogurt with a horrible passion. He can't even endure the smell! And, I have two kids who struggle with lactose digestion problems. So... Clear soup it was this time. I make chowder (corn or clam) a couple times a year with all the cream and also the butter to make the roux. Goodness... All the calories! 😁 Sk, to have you desire something I made?! Priceless! 😁
