It is okay I didn't lose any weight since yesterday. I realize I won't lose weight everyday. It becomes frustrating when it goes on for days. I am going hiking later today. That should help. I didn't hike yesterday. I simply don't have time to hike everyday. I have a dog, she loves the woods. It is good motivation for my depression. Losing weight has also been good. I just have to keep to the reality that weight loss is a slow process. I have permanently changed my eating habits so the weight will come off with healthy eating and exercise. I have started reading "Fighting Fat Over Forty" by Dr. Peeke. It is about the stress hormones released during stress that add and keep fat on your body. She is very well respected and is presently at the University of Maryland. I checked on some other doctors and the web search came up with lawsuits and scams by the others, most aren't in practice anymore. She is very realistic. A great read for women. She specializes in Stress physiology in women. Men and women can check out stress physiology. Anyway, will keep everyone informed of my progress.

Your body will change as you change calories eaten and calories burned. The trick is... the scale tells you only that you're lighter (or heavier). However, a seamstress tape measure used periodically (every 3-4 days) will tell you whether you lost fat and/or gained muscle mass in certain areas of your body. I do BOTH... that way, if the scale doesn't move (or goes up) I can use the seamstress tape to convince me of progress made. Hope that helps you.
