I'm giving myself a "poorly" this week, even though I lost a tiny bit of weight, because I have made too many exceptions. I have snacked, I have skipped exercise, and I have not recorded well. I have had a couple of "blank check" days, and really should not be doing that now, because I am about to take a vacation, and I know I will want to sample the local delicacies. I do hope, though, to be much more physically active while on vacation, and so "earn" more calories than I typically eat.

It is also true, though, that even when I allow myself to overindulge, I know I am just not physically capable of eating as much as I could a year ago, and that is encouraging. Although I have been a bit lax lately, I still mean to make this lifestyle change stick, and I think I can and will. I love my new body too much, and love the way new clothes look on me (love the whole shopping experience, really!) too much to go back to my old ways now. And now I really know what to do; it is just a matter of doing it.
