My partner of 35 years passed away this Dec.30. I was her caregiver for the last 2 years so I am how completely lost. She fought such a brave battle against lung/bone cancer. I am going to use this site and your journal entries as encouragement to help me get back into life and stay on task with food. The best to all for the new year!

Take solace in the fact that death is our last enemy. The pain and suffering is gone, the ravaging the disease is gone... peace. Now it is time to heal what that has done to you. Use the strength of those around you to build back yours over time.

How wonderful for you that you've taken this first step. I can't imagine how adrift one would feel from having their world turned upside down. Yes, take care of yourself as you begin your new journey!
