I gained weight this week. I am up 2.4 pounds. My pattern was different than last week.

I ate 3 days in the 'red zone' (the omg I am way off the mark!) and 3 days in the 'green zone' (in the zone) and one day in the yellow zone (caution over the zone but not in crazy high area).

In comparison last week was 4 'yellow' days, 2 'red' days and 1 'green' day.

Final average calorie count - this week it was 1411/day and last week it was 1337/day. The goal is 1250/day or less.

Clearly no surprise there was a gain this week. The 3 red zone days was me trying to be careful while eating away from home. Given the choices available (they were very limited) I am not sure I could have done any better than I did. That is tough. But true.

This week starting with today has some major pitfalls. Tonight the grandkids are making supper for the family. Tacos are on the menu. Tomorrow .... its Christmas and there will be a variety of treats and not all of them will be sugar!

Guess I will rock n roll through it and pick up whatever pieces on the 26-27th.

Last week was all about incredibly cold weather and working at the casino for our non-profit. Incredibly cold weather was -40 (which is the same celsisus or fahrenheit) Bloody cold and that is its own challenge. Working the casino called for being away from home because it is a 2.5 hour drive away.

The holidays pose real challenges, but we really do deserve to enjoy these times. I think you're doing very well. And -40° is VERY cold! Stay safe.
