Keeping to diet; no booze; cals within my 2k limit and gaining. I;m dealing with a bout of shingles. We are wondering if the covid booster shot caused it as I have a very high immune system and very seldom down with anything. Oh well "keep on truck'n".

Oh no! That’s always been a fear of mine; so much so that I got my two shingles vaccinations about a year ago. Expensive … but the peace of mind! Shingles can be so painful 😖

Was it just the Shingrix shot? You have to be free of the virus to get the shot right? My cousin in Scotland lost the sight in one eye from shingles.

I think it *was* Shingrix. Mine came in two shots. There was a few weeks waiting period between them. I think about 3 months? Can’t remember for sure now. Perils of being 68: details wander!

Check with your pharmacist about “virus free” or not; they will be able to answer any questions.

Thanks I'll do that. Just looked it up and one has to be free of shingles to get the shot.
