Continuing to "inch" down! Sometimes the "inches" can seem really frustrating when I have "miles" to go but, I have been trying to look at the bigger picture. In reality, I know I am at the lowest weight I have been in over 20 years. At that point, I maxed out around 385. Through various on-and-off efforts over the years I was at 341 in November 2021 and I was tired and frustrated and in pain from arthritic hips and knees and I'm only 55! I decided I had a to finally buckle down! Of course, if I was good at the at that buckling down part, I wouldn't be where I am now, but I engaged a lot of support including doctors, family, a fitness center, my therapist, a weight loss support group, and this website (!) because I knew that I couldn't do it alone! In the last few days, I feel like I've turned the corner to getting into the right long term healthy mindset. I feel like I can keep "inching" along toward a healthier me!

It is absolutely fabulous that you were at the lowest weight you’ve been in 20 years. Congratulations. Keep it up. That is so awesome.

Congratulations! What you're doing is better than the alternative! (This is what my new Dr. said during her pep talk after noting my chart shows I lost 10 lbs over the past 18 *EIGHTEEN* months.)

It is so easy to gain weight, but hard to stay with a low calorie and low carb diet. I have arthritis in my hip joints and lower back. I can only do 20 minutes a day of exercise. It takes a while to lose weight. I am 58 yrs old. All you can do is your best. I have only lost 30 lbs in 3 yrs. I drink water all day, eat at least 900 calories a day and 100 carbs a day. I gain 3 and I lose 3 pounds a week. Be patient it will take time. I too struggle with this.

Dropping weight will make your arthritis better. My arthritis just about disappeared when I cut a lot of inflammatory foods...do a little online research.
