I want to change my goal weight to 54.2kg because that’s the my normal weight if I calculate my BMI, but I feel like I’ll be content with my body if I just weight 65-70kg. I guess I’ll just take it slow and see what happens when I reach my current goal.

Hi Tshivuya. Don't get stuck on a number :) Try to calculate your BMI on an actual calculator so you can see where you should be as a guide. I can tell you that set my goal as 52kg as that was my ideal weight 10 years ago and what I aimed for. What is weird is that I weigh 52kg as of today, but my shape is different... I don't have the same leaness I did 10 years ago so there are still lumps and bumps ;) No worries because it is a number and I can live with it rather than going down another 5kg... No thanks. Try to see if you can reach your first goal of 70kg and see where you should be on a BMI calculator too. You can always adjust later. Good luck!!

Tshivhuya, hey! My dietian told me not to look at my bmi much, that's just science, if you can lose 10-20% of your current weight, you'll see just how much healthier you feel. I'm on 95kg now and my healthy bmi would be 60 however I don't want to get that low, my goal is 75-80. So don't worry about the numbers, focus on getting healthy

My goal is also above what my BMI suggests but I love food and eating so I think that those few extra kgs are where life happens
