Incomplete Food Logging Today!
We had visitors at work today, high level that could make us rise or fall. Company lunch was in order, sandwiches, garden salad, chips, cookies & brownies. It came naturally to discard of the bread/wrap and eat only deli meat, cheese a d the greens. Some garden salad with it and I was good to go. Still I have no clue how many calls it brought in. A few carbs though, not much is really carb free, but I'm sure it is way below limits.
now I am soooo tired. Made it out to the pool but all I want to do is lean back and sleep.

Breakfast at the pool...🏊
.... but to get there was an obstacle run!🚧
I was up early. Need my quiet time in the morning to wake up, sipping my coffee ☕. First thing I wanted/needed to do was vacuum the pool. Then my steps are on the agenda (not sure though, getting too hot). In between I should have some breakfast since once I get started I will not stop.
Finished vacuuming and started making breakfast - fried eggs, prosciutto, tomato, cheese. Opened the fridge, grabbed the box with eggs, they were heavier than anticipated and not thoroughly closed. Slipped out of my hand, out of the fridge, opening up all the eggs hit the floor. What a mess. I was able to rescue three but the rest was a slimy puddle on the floor 😭. Frying pan was heating g up already and started to smoke...I do NOT need this on a Sunday morning.
Well, move the pan off the burner, pick up the shells and clean the mess.
Now, all set and done and I am enjoying myself outside (phew, the sun is burning already).

Interesting find!
I was on my way grocery etc. shopping when I heard a commercial on the radio about ketogenic diet. What a surprise! But the biggest surprise came when they announced they have a "Ketofest" - almost in my neighborhood. Too bad that I did not know earlier, the weekend is all planned out. The two pound loss I recorded yesterday does not seem much considering what I still have to lose. Taking a closer look - it is a lot.
I had a long talk with Majohn last year about metabolism. He seems to have a vast knowledge about these things. His answer to my slow weight loss was my DNA. Since I am a European my clocks ticks a little differently and I have to be stricter that others in order to lose.
Well, I am, involuntarily, and it pays off. 0.4 lbs less this morning. Why? I feel hungry while at work but don't have the time to eat something. After a short while it goes away. This week I sat here a few times wondering how I am going to fill up those calories and keep the nutritional balance.
So, I am very happy that I am losing at this pace right now but fully aware it an turn around very easily and I stall. Well, I will worry about it when it happens :-)
I am almost where I was when I tried the EMT class. I will never ever commit to anything like that again. All I did from January until May was working, eating, studying, sleeping. From one chair to the other. From one frustration to the other. It almost made me sick.
They talk about how an EMT should stay healthy, physically and mentally, and stress people like crazy. It is a vast amount of material you have to study, they should give it adequate time. Life could depend on it.
Enough about that, it is behind me. I am still an EMR and help where help is needed. That should do it, maybe my destiny.

I need to watch out!
So far I am doing fine. Overworked and underpaid but fine.
Yesterday's food entry was incomplete, today's not-existent. I lived low carb, very low carb nevertheless.
Yesterday my daughter and grandchild came spontaneously to stay overnight. They just had come back from a mini-vacation in Florida and were going to pick up their dog. Since it is quite a ride from their home and the granddaughter (20mo) spent some time on the plane already they decided to skip the trip back home and stay, enjoying some pool time. The little one is a trip :-)))
Anyway, my daughter brought chicken that we "threw" into the oven and I still had some cauliflower. For the carb carvers I found some potatoes in the pantry and we were all set. No, I did not eat any potatoes, was not even thinking of it.
At the same time the food was cooking I was making cheese. I had started on Sunday already, it takes quite some time. Yesterday it needed to be cooked. My daughter loves it and enjoyed some of it with the cauliflower, so did I.
Preparation for today was the same as everyday but I did not have any time to record it. Same with lunch.
After work I decided I need my hair done and went out of my way, about 20 mi south of where I work. Mind me, I live 45 mi north from work. So quite a ride back and I was starving. I had to get gas anyway so I "indulged" in some unhealthy burger... no condiments but bacon and cheese, no bun. If not the healthiest it still was low carb.
Now I have to see that I get everything prepared for tomorrow, actually need to boiled eggs but I don't feel like it and need to go to bed. I guess it will be ordered breakfast in the morning. omelette and bacon :-)
Why I said I need to watch out? I usually starts that way, that I do not record my food. I think I can keep the overview. But I can't, not yet. So, tomorrow is another day and I will see that every bite goes into the food diary.
Weight wise I am doing fine. I did not record it yet but hit the scale this morning and it showed a good loss.
