Sorry this may be long, boring and nonsense, but I just had a moment of clarity and need to vent...
We will call this post “BECOMING A MINIMALIST!”


So recently I moved into my dads house. Put 99% of our belongings in storage and donated truck loads of stuff to goodwill and still our unit is overflowing. Today I looked around my small over crowded room and saw a tee that I bought over summer and have only worn once... then I looked at our overflowing closets... it actually made me feel ill... like this over abundance of “stuff” we have and there are people bare foot and cold... or hungry. I just want to give it all away. I want to live a simpler life. I don’t want this burden of having so much stuff, too much stuff. I had no idea these material things could be holding me back in my journey to a healthier me. It is very true that you become a slave to your belongings... but why? Why have so much clothes that you can’t possibly put them all away? Why have too many shoes for your shoe rack...

So not only do I plan to shed many pounds and get healthier while living at my dads, I now plan to rid myself of these material things that weigh me down and work on my inner happiness.

Anyone here a minimalist? What’s your advice, what’s the best and first thing you would purge in a home?

I have been trying to keep “busy”. Eat healthy snacks and stay low carb. Got some jalapeño goat cheese, spicy cream cheese, cheese crisps, garlic stuffed olives, organic heavy creams, local eggs, restocked my almond meal, low carb veggies, kraut, pickles... not eating all of them in one day will be my challenge, maybe buying tons of my favorites was a mistake!!

I have been trying to “fast” as long as I can each day, but the last two days I had a burning in my stomach by 1pm. Which I don’t experience everyday... then today I woke up with that feeling. Does this mean I should eat a little something or try just sole water? I am a firm believer in “listen to your body” and “listen to your gut”... but I am not sure if this is part of the IV journey or a sign from my body. 🤷‍♀️

Welp, time to get up and at it and get things done today. HAPPY THURSDAY EVERYBODY!!!

I have been eating healthier. Making better choices. Lots more salad (no dressings just throwing meats on top)... haven’t been true keto since my fats haven’t been high enough, going to make fat bombs this week. But my carbs are very low and my protein is moderate... so baby steps... I think it’s most important to get used to cutting out the carbs and just saying no to the foods I know I don’t need. As a stay at home mom (who also homeschools) I just don’t get the exercise and activity I need. But I’m adding in squats, planks, push ups, leg lifts and daily walks... having diastasis recti it makes lots of the old exercising and work outs I love really difficult 😞

The stress of packing and moving wrecked my body and immune system. so once we settle in I plan to have a staycation with lots of self love, crocheting, cross stitching, neighborhood strolls, face masks and detox baths. But things just got more complicated... chickens have been added to the mix... making the new total a whomping 44 pets
😩😱🤦‍♀️🤪
