Yesterday, not so good. Went over my RDI, which is already too high for me too loose weight. I guess I got bored with 'diet-centricity' and snacked myself to 108% of my RDI.
Well, that's what this journal is for. Get back on track...today.
Debating on reducing my RDI to something that fits my past experiences better. Unfortunately, my activity level is lower than desirable for quick weight loss. This due to various diabetic related issues.

Yesterday was a good diet day in spite of a weak moment at a social event where small portions of ice cream and cake. Also of concern was the hour of my evening meal (10:30).
My Diabetes coach warns that late evening meals usually result in high BG numbers the next morning but I only tested 144 this morning. Go figure.
I know I was going to hold weigh ins to Fridays but I guess I can't help it. Well that might be on days that I have positive results, anyway. I weigh every morning to get LBs onto my Diabetes spreadsheet, anyway.

Yesterday was good day, diet wise. I even stayed legal at an evening social event that offered acres of not so legal food. True, I did feel a bit deprived during the event but feel relieved now.

Eating much more healthy but LBs are creeping up.
Let's let things settle down and stay the course.
No sweet snacks, Controlled carbs, controlled portions, 3 meals before 7 PM.

Best diet day in a while, so far. Very reasonable brk and lunch. Didn't graze on any Life Savers (or anything else). Out of Life Savers and didn't replenish when I was in the store.
Now to get through day substantially under my RDI. If I'm going to loose, I have to recompute that RDI (know that from many years of experience).
Next is to increase my 'activity', as my VA, Diabetes Coach calls it. I'm almost void of ideas on how to accomplish this. The diabetic feet and a damaged knee don't help in this matter.
Had been making the 30 mile trek to the Y to use the pool. Used budget as excuse to stop. Some of it was just laziness/motivation, though. Gets hard to stay gungho with the 1 hr round trip drive always staring you in the face, though. I did have more stamina while doing it, for sure
Need to get my water intake up. I have never enjoyed drinking water.
