Water aerobics has been fun and I will totally miss it. But, the time has come to step it up. I find I am pushing my self and still barely work up a sweat. ( I know, in the water not much of a sweat, but I feel like it just isn't enough any more.) I am totally bored with it and I feel I have conquered it. So now, I have to find something new to do. I will still stop in and do it once in a while, but, I need more.
I think my husband is finally coming around to come to the gym- yay! I think he might have gone last night if his shoes were better. ( needs new ones, for real)I love the idea of gym dates and being buddies there. I hope this happens, but if it doesnt, I know I am going anyway.
I guess I need to schedule a time to have all the machines shown to me, and then create a work out.
Question: Do you do cardio every time you go? Or just weights on certain days and cardio on the others? I used to do circuit training and thought that was the way to go, but it is different at this gym. People tend to bogart equipment. Not in a bad way-- in a " I am in the middle of my 45th set and you have to wait" way.
Anyway, today will be an awesome day. It is the first day of fall-- and I hope everyone in the north enjoys the cooler weather for me. Yesterday was 93. Ugh. God, I miss the fall.

Ok, the past 2 days have been weird days. I am not my perky self and my food choices have reflected that. I mean, I ate almost 2000 calories yesterday and decided after lunch I needed a cupcake. No, I definitely WANTED the cupcake. Not need.
Last night when I weighed I was up 2 lbs. Ugh. Now, I blame- primarily- my alcohol choices the last 2 weekends. And that last week I only worked out once.
That still does not account for the weirdness going on. I was so sure today was going to be a productive healthy day and I totally blew it with my choices.

s this a self-sabotage attempt? Is it laziness? Did I just want a fricken cupcake?
I have been trying to eat more vegetables, and whole grains and less meat. I can't seem to find my footing here. I know those things are good for me- yes. I will never cut them out of my diet. But, eating this way feels wrong to me. My body keeps telling me to have more protein, but the info I am reading and watching tells me I don't need the meat.
I could be a vegetarian based on the meat industry. But, I could also buy local grass fed organic meat and like that better.
I am having a weird day. I think I need to do more protein and less carbs. The way I have been eating really has made me feel all wrong. I don't know.

Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal is nasty.
I usually hit the lower sugar variety, but when comparing the two, even though the WC tends to run about 30 Calories higher, the fiber and protein seemed to make up for it.
It is way too sweet and has a weird taste.
Just sharing something I found awful-- but will eat because I live on a budget.

No work today... improving the Thai recipe... went for a walk and even convinced my sweetie to come along. Today is a good day.

Goals for this week are:
-Get to the gym 3 times at least, with at least 1 night of fun movement.
-Drink 100oz of water each day.
- Refrain from alcohol.
