Oh Dear, Tuesday morning again what happened to my week it went past so bloody fast I hardly noticed it.
I snuggle into my pillow thinking I will just have a couple more minutes in my nice warm blanket press but my bladder disagreed with me and I found myself heading for the bathroom (hate my bladder I do). A kilogram (1 litre) later and with one eye on the dreaded scales I decide to wait until I can shed another half kg (use your imagination) so back to the blanket press I thought. Huh, wrong again mate, speedy Gonzales (aka The Wife) had beaten me to it and had the bed stripped off with a huge grin on her face so another good idea bights the dust.
Sitting looking at my so inviting mug of tea I just could not pick it up thinking every mouthful was water weight so it will have to sit there pending my rear end going into active service.
I go through my usual Tuesday morning routine of removing anything which can be removed even remembering the glass eye, false teeth and wig (didn’t really).
Making sure the five Yorkies are locked in another room (dangerous to have them around when wearing just a birthday suit) I am now ready for the truth to be told. (I wish we had heated scales).
Job done, wait over and the scales tell me I am down 1 full kg exactly. That’s 2.2 pounds in funny money.
I am happy with that it is exactly the loss I am trying to achieve.

A new day dawns bringing another weigh in day for me.
As I lay in bed contemplating my next action, I opened one eye to do a quick check of the ceiling, it was white and not pine, in with a chance so take a sniff, no burning detected so I open the other eye deciding it was safe to rise.
First port of call is the loo, have to get rid of excess weight before I hit the scales.
Essentials completed now remove all the excess items, rings glasses and don’t forget the slippers.
Out come the scales, carefully placing them in the exact spot as last weigh in I turn them on to warm up.
Can’t hold off any more I just have to get on them and hope for the best.
Hmmm… I look down to see a new figure, lower than last week which brings a smile to my old wrinkly face. 107.5 they say not too bad at all that means I am down 3 kg That’s 6.6 pounds in funny money.
Normally I would be really happy about this but due to my history it is of concern to me but there is not much I can do about it right now. The action I can take now is to smile and look on the bright side then go out and buy new trousers to save embarrassing myself in a public place and being arrested for indecent exposure. (sorry to disappoint the girls) lol

LOOKING FOR ADVICE !
I have been looking at various Fatty Clubs (weight loss organisations) such as Slimming World and trying to understand how they work out calories and what can be eaten and what to avoid.
Many of them, along with other diet recipes, tell me that I should eat as much vegetables as I wish.
When I look at the vegetable soup recipe for the club that uses so called points it says the soup is FREE!! They also say that vegetables are free.
Now then, if it is FREE….. its for Meeeeeeeee ………… I work out my meals at least a day in advance more if I can. I then put it on a spreadsheet and calculate the calories for that day. My aim is to keep on or under 1000 calories per day for now and to increase later as I ditch the weight to slow things down a little and get back to being a normal human again.
All my meals have 60 gram of each vegetable or 2.11 ounces for those on funny money that weight is a constant so if I have Broccoli FS says that the weight works out to 14 calories. Carrots is 25 calories and Sprouts works out at 17 calories and I use the same weight for every meal. NO POTATOS!
This totals to 56 calories in just vegetables for every meal, not a lot is it really.
I do eat meat including red but even my meat intake is limited to 150 gram (5.29 ounces) and I make sure I have at least one fresh fruit every day all within my 1000 calories.
If for example I have chicken breast at 150 gram (5.29 ounces) FS says this would be 207 calorieS.
Then I add my drinks and any snacks I may be allowed within the 1000 calories.
My burning question is this. If vegetables are zero calorie rated why am I including them in my daily calorie count ??? Should I include vegetables in my calorie count ???
I would value the opinions of any FS member who may be inclined to help me.

It is now a full month since I returned to FS. I said at the end of each month, I would not only weigh myself as I do each week but also take measurements, that day has arrived!
I head for the bathroom and look at the scales which seem to have a smile on it or is it a grimace as if to say “go on, I dare you”.
First is a toilet exercise, always good for a kilogram or so that. I know a litre of water is one kilogram so I do my best there.
Cut toe nails and finger nails even a shave as every part of a gram helps.
Then a shower, that may just get rid of a gram or so. Making sure I am bone dry I take another look at the scales and after removing my wedding ring, take another pee.
All my effort above has proven worthwhile as I am so happy to see (once I put my bloody glasses back on) I have lost 1.8 kg or 3.9 lbs or could it be something to do with my diet, who knows.
In the month I have shed a total of 20 lbs or 1.4 stone, I am happy with that.
Now it is time for the ultimate test, the tape measure and I have to keep in mind a request for measurements in “barleycoms” as well as “inches” but looking forward to it as this is one of the few occasions my wife has to put her arms around me. The other time is for her to get my wallet out of my back pocket.
The elasticated tape measure is placed first around the “man boobs” and it shows a reduction of 6 cm (2.36 inches or 7 barleycorn)
Next is the belly so we expand the tape and wow, it shows a reduction of 9 cm ( 3.5 inches or 10.5 barlycorn) (didn’t know the tape was that long)
Next is the rear end so we wait for the wobbling to stop and hey presto, a reduction of 5 cm (1.9 inch or 5.8 barlycorn)
All in all, a happy ending to my first month back on FS.
Now the sad part is using my new weight I have to adjust my RDI. We all should do this periodically as the weight gets less this will mean an increase in effort for the month of February. Such is life when you’re under tall. 
