Hello, my name is Virginia, I'm 35yrs old and I weigh 398lbs. After taking a 4yr hiatus to raise my 2 oldest daughter I returned to work and with in the first year I managed to lose around 60lbs. It was then that I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd daughter...I gained everything back during my pregnancy and while I had always "carried" my weight well enough this particular pregnancy took a lot out of me. I began having a lot of physical issues as my body broke down under my weight, especially in my knees. When my daughter was about 18months old I found out I was pregnant again. A miracle really as my 2 oldest children were 12 and 14 when my 3rd was born..now here I was having a 4th for her to grow up with. 15wks into the pregnancy I began to bleed. I was diagnosed with a complete molar pregnancy ...the diagnosis came to late, they in return diagnosed me with gestational trophablastic diseas...cancer. I under went chemo for 4 months and before anything was said or done I'd managed to get to the heaviest weight I've ever been in my life. I took a year off of work during this journey and only recently returned this past week. I only work two 4hr days a week right now as I am still very weak. I don't want to live like this anymore. Trapped in my own body. It's one thing to want to lose weight because your depressed, it's a whole nother thing to want to lose it because you don't want to die.
