So far my new year's resolution of No Fast Food is going well. I haven't really even been tempted by flavors so much as I have convenience here and there... but I haven't purchased any. I tried this one year before and I made it until March and simply gave up, but somehow I think this year I'll make it all year, or at least much longer. Feels good to set a goal and keep it. :)

I noticed your thing just turned yellow. Congratulations. I think you'll make it on the fast food thing. I've cut it out of my diet and it now smells terrible. I used to love french fries and they smell the worst. I'm starting to believe more and more that they must put something in that stuff to keep you addicted. Keep the faith, you're doing great!

Thanks!! It feels good to be noticed ;) And yes I agree - they MUST make it addictive... because about two weeks ago I broke down and got some fries at Smithfield's. If you're not from NC you may not know what that is, but it's a chicken & bbq place. Some people say it's not fast food, but I figure if it has a drive-thru window it is! LOL... Anyway, I figure ONE fast food in two months isn't all that bad of a break-down. Now I just have to stop substituting more fattening foods at home - and stay dedicated at the gym. I've given up lots of comfort foods for Lent, so maybe that will help?! :)

Ok so I made it until about April or May and gave up, but once again it was more of a convenience thing than cravings. I haven't had fast food in about a month now, mostly because I've been traveling, and I haven't missed it really. I'm glad to see that the travel also jump started my weight loss again, so I'm going to get back on track. It feels good. I recognize that the weight loss "thing" as a whole is a journey, not a sprint, so I'm not overly concerned that it's slow-going, but maybe I've also become too complacent? Hopefully the recent boost will help me get back in my groove. :)
