I'm at home after a long day, crying for the life we lost at work today.

Thanks. It was a privilege to care for her and a blessing for me in a personal way. She has no family to grieve for her. Professional caregivers were the only relationships she had her in life for years. Her suffering and death personify for me what I can find at the other side of that next binge.

Lady, remember that you are her family. You loved her well while she was here and you'll remember her now that she's gone. Boiled down, that's what we all strive for whether giving or receiving love. Sending hugs. It's not easy.
