Damn...having a gout attack today. Started last night. Haven't had one in 6 months or so....wonder what set it off? Been following diet faithfully..no other issues...only thing different, my buddy had a Military Wedding at this bad-ass winery...only had a taster of each wine 🍷 (6) haven't had any other alcohol in 12 weeks of this LCHF. ??????

Wine is carbs which equals sugar - maybe that tripped it for you? Feel better.

As a fellow sufferer I suspect the red wine is the problem. When you see the film inspired images of the rich gents in bathchairs, they were all Port drinkers!

Hello Rontravis. I have gout also, mainly in my left knee. I take allopurinol to keep my uric acid levels down but still have the gout lol. I cant drink or else it will make things worse.

I have been controlling my gout with Lemon Juice and Apple Cider vinegar when I wake up. 1 WHOLE lemon. and 1 tablespoon of vinegar in 8oz warm water. I also add stevia to knock out the pucker factor.

They should just call diabetes "Carbohydrate Poisoning". That's pretty much what it is.

I'm going to start using that, Knuckles; Carbohydrate Poisoning! Accurate and much more succinct than "diabetes".

Type 2 is as far removed from Type 1 as Rheumatoid Arthritis is from Cancer (two sides of the same coin). Calling both types Diabetes seems a misnomer to me.
