YOH- Kapama is a greek sauce. You can use it on lamb and other meats as well. It is very delicious and savory and has cinnamon in it as well. It pairs nicely with rice and veggies. It's definitely a favorite of mine to make!

I’m learning so much about good food from your entries! By the way, do you still track calories from what you eat or just know that you wouldn’t go over or under by much?

Hi Frei - I'm so glad you're enjoying and yes it's good food and it's delicious! And, yes I absolutely still log all my food and have for 8 years now (even when I'm on vacation), lol. And, 6 of those years have been in maintenance. My former weight loss coach once said she never had a client that gained their weight back who tracked their calories consistently. And, I knew I didn't want to gain my weight back so there ya go! :-) It would be hard for me to go over at this point because of the training I do so I'm usually in a deficit of cals and I throw those into a caloric bank account I keep track of and use them for surplus calorie days like holidays, birthdays, and "I just want cake and cookie" days. But, 80% of the time it's healthy because endurance training works best with starchy fibrous carbs and protein. The fuel from those carbs lasts longer in the system and keeps insulin spikes at bay which is a concern for athletes that like to use sugar as their main source of fuel. I use 'MyFitness Pal' to log food, but I track my weight and post my journals on this site, and of course I absolutely love and adore this community! MFP just works best for me regarding food and fueling needs.
