Today is exactly 9 months when I became very serious and started my weight loss journey and it really does not seem that long ago. I recall last October when my nephew was with me and I told him that I am going to lose more than 100 pounds and get back to a normal weight. His response was... "What time will you lose it". He is only 8 years old and lives in world that everything moves fast and can download an app for his smart phone or pad in minutes. So why should weight loss be any different. I tried to explain to him that I just started to lose the weight and it takes some time. Then he responded with... "Are you going to lose it when I am sleeping tonight". Again I had to explain to him that it would take about a year or more of being careful of what I eat and cutting out foods that make me gain weight. He said... "A whole year, that will take forever".

It made me realize we live in a world now with instant results. We can shop online or compare prices for just about anything and have it delivered the next day. For some of us, not getting what we want right away can be sometimes frustrating and cause us to lose MOTIVATION.

That is the real key to constant weight loss is staying motivated and focused on why we were motivated in the first place.
