Celebrating a little tonight with some Smoke Wagon Bourbon and a cigar. Had my final chemo session today. My last PET Scan was completely clear of cancer. A subsequent CT scan for an unrelated cardiac issue showed the same thing, no cancer. Now I’ll just have follow-up visits to make sure that it doesn’t rear it’s ugly head again. Also got one of my ureter stents removed. Hopefully, the other will come out in early June. Once they figure out the treatment for my pericarditis, I should be on my way back to normal. Hopefully by the end of June. The recovery period after chemo, I’ve been told could as much as a year, but that’s ok with me. It beats the alternative.
