Wellington, New Zealand? Bubs i thought you were an Aussie😀. Closes IVE been to you is Fiji. Sure gets hot there. Im so sorry! Are the surrounding areas stable? I thought i saw you work down the street. You be careful and safe. Those poor people to be struggling to change their lives and this happens! Bloody hell. Im so so sorry. Prayers for all those impacted. You take care my friend🥰 

Don't worry YOH nobody can tell the difference from the other side of the world... Yes it's a bit suck. I found the hardest thing to digest the idea that we can have buildings that substandard for fire risk in a city where half the houses are red-carded for earthquake risk. The building I work in, we have to have fire drills twice a year. Or else we don't meet certification and we aren't allowed to be open to the public. So... how did this building get away with being so unsafe? The first thing I was told in the morning by my boss was it was 12 dead, but that went down to six by evening, so that was embarrassing and weird. I mean, I'm really glad for those extra six people but I didn't check my facts so I look like I escalated it. I have been in that building and it's a horrible building with bad exits. It appears fire escapes were blocked. I don't know how that building legally operated in a city where the regulations are so strict. Who was getting kickbacks. Who's going to jail... 

My Blessing go to those who are displaced. I applaud you for doing things to make the lives of the survivors a little easier. there will be many who will just need someone to listen for a little bit. since I an sure many will have survivors guilt and will not want to go to a doctor for it. A little act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life.

Bubbles, sometimes it’s $$$ changing hands and often it’s someone not caring about the safety of others. Im so glad you are ok, minus your sadness and deserved anger at the building owner. I have never had a fire drill here in the good ole U.S. of A and I’ve been working for 45 years. Makes you think 

Just read about this, wow! Reminds me of a fire in Oakland a few years back, an old warehouse converted to art studios where people could live. It’s sad to hear about.
