Both pieces are good as long as they don't have buffalo wing sauce on them!

Agreed @Rhontique, we do dry, crispy chicken wings in this household. Double-fried for that extra crispy skin. Then we do dips, mine isn't as spicy as hubby's and our son does honey mustard.

You can have diet Pepsi without it stimulating hunger? Even artificial sweetners do that to me.

Occasionally, yes Lineruds. It doesn't seem to trigger hunger for me, but it's also an addiction for me, so if I have one, I want another. But like you, I find too many sweeteners, artificial or not, stall my weight loss. Sad to say, I can kick breads and pastas to the curb with little to no problem, but sugars, fake or not, not so much.

If this meal were on your menu, and I were at your restaurant, I would order this meal with water instead of Pepsi, no mushrooms, no dip, and double the wings (so a pile of celery and a pile of wings). You explain there is a $6 upcharge and I say, "okay." How many more calories did I buy with my six bucks? Because those wings look amazing, and those few don't feel like enough for me.

We love doing wings at home. We use a deep-fryer (*gasp* *shock* *OH MY*, lol). Depending on how many we cook at once, we fry them for about 6 mins at 375, pull them up and let them drip in the basket for about 2-3 mins, then drop them again for another 6 minutes. This creates a really nice crunchy skin. I have to keep my protein in check, too much and I gain weight. Weird, I know. So my count is usually 5 or 6. But most of my protein is consumed in my "brunch".

With a 6 wing limit, you really need the meaty mushrooms and dip to walk away from the table satisfied. Good balance 🙂

My limit has decreased over the years. I used to eat about 12-15. Slowly it comes down, without even really noticing. And for me, my satiety comes from the fat, or in this case, the sour cream and skin.

Awesome. It is a relief to me that you don't feel deprived, because I am imagining myself one day maintaining on small, measured portions. It feels so good to hear that, for someone else, the volume of food "went down without noticing!"
