Thanks Sproe for the heads up, I just Googled drinking too much water and it looks really bad! I think I may be drinking too much, particularly as I have an app to remind me to drink. I think we all need to be careful not to fall into that trap.

My symptoms were being so tired as soon as I woke up and being really down. My doctor said it was a wonder I could stand up without feeling light-headed my sodium was so low. I've been doing the drinking fluids other than water for about 3 weeks now and I go back to see her Monday. One thing I noticed when I got my blood work done this week is they found a vein right away. Last time it took 3 of them 4 tries before they got it. They said I was dehydrated. I said that couldn't be I was drinking lots of water. Saw my doctor a week after that and apparently I was dehydrated because I had been drinking TOO much water. who knew?

general rule of thumb for water is .5-1oz of water for each pound you weigh for weight loss. I'm 148lbs (that would be 74-148oz) and I drink 96oz. I live in VA and it gets pretty hot here as well as humid and I work out 3-5x a week. I'm not worried that I drink too much.

I think the working out is the key here. If you work out you really do need the water and kudos for being able to do that. I know I should be getting more exercise, but I've decided for now to concentrate on healthy eating, and I will eventually feel like I can do the exercise thing too. I think that is really important, just one step at a time for me right now. (Myabe two steps tomorrow!)
