Lost 1.2 lbs but I'm not sure how. I've been battling insomnia again and it threw me off in a big way last week. I didn't plan my meals, log my food, exercise regularly or anything. I may have done okay with not going too crazy overboard with calories, but I definitely did NOT do okay with my food choices which compounded the issue of feeling run-down.

I've decided to try some supplements to see if that will help with the severity of the menopause symptoms I've been having. Terrible, insomnia, hot flashes, night sweats, foggy brain... it has been a challenge, that's for sure. I think the lack of sleep has triggered a bit of depression for me. I'm aware of it and making efforts to improve.

Being creative is kind of my therapy. It's not easy to get going when your motivation levels are low, but once I do, I get caught up in it. Yesterday I had the day off work and started a new pencil drawing. It's a late Christmas present for my son-in-law. I'm not quite finished with it yet but I made more progress on it than I thought I would. I think it helped my mental health a bit. Well, that and maybe getting more than two hours of sleep last night.

Getting below a 23% BMI helps tremendously with the hot flashes and night sweats. I was able to bypass nearly every typical symptom when menopause hit at 50 by losing weight and overhauling my diet to WFPB (whole foods plant based). 💚

@JustBananas that is a very encouraging thought- thank you for sharing your experience. I lean strongly toward WFPB but I'm still working on it.

You drew that? Wow! You are very talented. Insomnia, hot flashes, etc are hard to deal with. They get better over time but at 67 I still suffer from insomnia
