A little test.

I want to do a little test, but i need a couple of women who are having these weird cravings like i do... The panic attacks that make us go to the fridge at night, if you know what i mean and are willing to take a test for the next couple of weeks, please let me know...

all you need to do is measure your heartrate the moment you wake up, before you get out of bed and be totally honoust about a feeding frenzy.

Same thing here. I crave sugar like crazy when I just wake up, doesn't matter if it's from sleep or a nap--could be because sleep is technically "fasting"? I'm not sure.

I would love to participate, but it's been a while since I got up during the night for a feeding frenzy. Mine hits prior to bedtime.

It is a blood sugar issue - I would guess. It drops while you sleep and you wake up thinking you need to eat. I could be wrong though...a healthy fat will satiate you longer. Maybe try a handful of raw almonds before bed.

I don't get up in the middle of the night to eat. I DO get cravings for the carbs (as much as I haven't indulged in carb binges in a couple of year, I do get them. I would much rather eat carbs than proteins and veggies any day. If I get hungry, like ClassicRocker, it's when I am in bed. Eating 1200-1300 daily is very hard for me, and I work almost 12 hour days. When I get "hungry" I only fantasize about pasta...not chicken meals, egg meals, certainly not fruit or veggies....CARBS!!! I am not a snacker either, I want a meal (a pasta meal). Which btw, I find when I used to measure a 1/2 c dry and boil it nightly, years ago, I didn't crave carbs at all. As much as they say you will not crave them after eating proteins and veggies, doesn't change my brain crave.

it doesnt matter when the craving come, just measure your heart rate the moment you get up in the morning (*your total resting heartrate*) and write down if you had a craving that day (even if you could resist) send me your result for the next week... maybe i got something here ;)

Maud, google "Five Tips for Coping with PMS Cravings". It might be PMS causing your cravings. Women crave sugars and especially carbohydrates (like potato chips) because the body uses carbs to make serotonin.

69 BPM this morning. Forgot yesterday. I am trying to avoid feeding frenzy, but if I have one will let you know. Last week I did give in a two days (one when I ate 1545 and 1810 calories).
