Wow - was I ever sick. Wed and Thur this week was about as low as I have felt in a number of years. I picked up a virus with the symptoms reaching their zenith on Tuesday evening. Combine that fluid loss with my weight loss, exercise, and blood pressure medicine and I nearly blacked out a few times. None of the blood pressure stuff was evident to me at 2:00am on Wed. Went to the doctor Wed morning. He told me I had a virus that had been making the rounds of the area, but that his real concern was my blood pressure was 100/55. He gave me a shot to stop the immediate symptoms so I could drink and retain water.

Well I am back and ready to get after tracking, eating, and exercising.

I have an appointment with the doctor on 3/23 - I need to discuss getting off the BP medicine as my blood pressure has been a little low even when healthy.

Y'all have a great Friday and weekend. My weigh in is on Saturday - maybe there will be one benefit of being sick.

Health First. Wait a bit with the exercise if you're not totally feeling well. The best thing for a body that is ill is rest. Take care!

Yes, I typed that this morning. Today is the first day back at work and 7 hrs in and I am beginning to feel run down. I may have set my sights too high regarding exercise.

You have your whole life ahead of you to exercise and take care of yourself. Right now, with illness, the trick is to be still and rest up till you're 100%. :)

I agree with Nowlunderstand. If you try to workout while you are not 100% you will just extend or make the illness worse. Just eat healthy while you are healing. If you can stick to your healthy diet you may still drop weight!

Thank heavens you went to the Dr. You need to RELAX and not jump in to the extreme exercise until you're 100%. That would be great is you got off of BP medicine but do continue to monitor your pressure.

Ok, all of your comments and reason ruled the day. I did not exercise yesterday. Apparently a good thing as I slept 11.5 hrs last night. I think I am 100% today. Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts

You've shared some good thoughts; changing ourselves, not just what we do. And having high enough goals to shoot for. Keep up the good work.
