Well the covid finally got me and I'm feeling pretty crappy. I'm very very very thankful to report my 6 month old grandson that I was taking care of doesn't have it, just dealing with RSV symptoms from last week. Also wanted to say to all those single parents out there that are taking care of others and trying to improve themselves.....Y'all are heros in my book. At 46 and separated I found it very challenging to take care of myself for the last few days I was keeping my grandson. This will pass and I will recover but brings up feelings of being alone and not having a companion in life to help with the little things. I know time heals all, just wishing I could skip to that part and bypass this part. I haven't shared much of my personal struggles and through this community and it's members I feel safe in doing so as we are just folks navigating through life trying to find a better way. I appreciate all that share their ups and downs, it makes me feel more normal in knowing I'm not alone in this world! I think I have found it easier to bury my feelings and focus all my energy on the future but realizing that I can't move forward until I work through this.

you will get through this! happy to hear your grandson didn't get it my daughter was less than 6 months old the first time covid ripped through our house.

You will get through this. That grandbaby needs his grandma. One of my dearest friends is a 3 time widow. I never understood why she kept getting married. Finally I asked. She said I didn't understand as I will never be alone. I have children and grand children. It finally made sense.

Hope you feel better soon. We are currently fighting off strep throat in my house. I had to go get my grandson from school this morning. So, I know what you are facing. It's hard, but you'll get through it.

Covid is not fun. Mine started as a cold so I didn’t know I had it until almost a week later. Hopefully your symptoms aren’t bad

It’s weird what brings dark shit to the surface. When I got Covid the fatigue hit me the worst, but I also felt so emotionally fragile. Like I lost my shell. I’m an alcoholic and have another online community that is awesome for the same reasons of support, information, accountability, friendships etc. You’re completely right… we’re all just finding a better us and trying to deal with our inside feelings and stuff. Once you get over this Covid hump you’ll feel stronger handling more. 🤗
