Does anyone ever get used to eating in a deficit? I feel like I am starving most of the time😬 I've managed to stay in the -500 range for a week now but wondering how long I'll be able to keep it up 😭🙏

Well for the last three weeks are so I've been eating mostly veggies with a small amount of chicken or beans as my protein. Lots of spinach n spring mix and occasionally a half a cup of sweet potato with half a banana. I have gone off bread rice n pasta mostly but did try brown rice once. I didn't love it but finished it over the course of a week.. tonight I made my family fried rice and made mine with cauliflower rice and that was pretty darn good. Could hardly notice a difference so I think I'd substitute that from now on. Instead of pasta I had zucchini noodles.. I've had oatmeal 3xs but only a half a cup.. this is all a totally new way of eating for me but I figured if I gave up the bread sweets and processed foods something should help .. .maybe it's just too soon to tell. *sigh*

Patience! You are making healthy balanced choices, you are getting 70g protein, you limit your salt, and choose whole foods rather then processed. If you really feel starved, make a BIG batch of 7grain porridge, portion it into 100g servings, and put them in your freezer. When you are hungry, have a bowl of oatmeal warmed up in microwave for 1 minute, with yogurt & berries or banana. 30 minutes of activity every day is important too. MisChelle, I think you are doing great. You have lost 4.6lbs in 1 month. Nothing wrong with than. Keep it up, losing ~5 lbs/month, and you will reach your goal weight by Dec 31, 2022. You can do it.

MisChelle, I know exactly how you feel; however, it WILL be worth it for all of us at FS. We are envisaging better health in the future. What could be better for us and those who love us?🤗🇨🇦

@Mischelle_ sounds like to me your eating all the right things. one day I will eat as clean as your doing, just keep doing what your doing and be patient, maybe you can incorporate more fat so you won't feel like you're starving. I hope this helps take care until we talk again.

I've been eating the same foods. I have been in the habit of over eating by a lot. probably anywhere from 1k or 2k calories over what I should eat each day. Like you I've been trying to eat a calorie deficit. It's tough sometimes. But 6 weeks in now and in trying to reset my body so it doesn't think I'm starving. I over ate intentionally today. I didn't enjoy it honestly. Going back to the deficit tomorrow. I'm not giving any advice to anyone. This is just what I'm trying. But if you want to know if you can get used to it,... it takes time to adjust and you can. I try to make food that I enjoy eating and is therefore satisfying to eat but I limit myself to one serving and keep under my calorie target. Good luck! Keep up the hard work. You can do it!
