Man it's tough; keeping close to my 2k cals where my size and weight dictate a 2.4k cals and with my hikes etc., giving me a margin of well over a 1,000 sometimes close to 2k and none of my cocktail hours which accounted for another 500+ cals., yet stuck in the mid 190's; sheesh!!!

My husband stop drinking alcohol for a month in January. He stopped right after New Years Day. Within three weeks of not drinking alcohol he lost 20 lbs. Now he has started drinking again but only on the weekends and he might only have 1 or 2 beers or 2 small glasses of vodka and water with mio in it. Last week he did drink everyday because he had a rough week dealing with work and a flood in our basement, plus we visited family and friends. He weighed himself this past Monday he gained 5 lbs. He decided to another month of not drinking. Your almost at your goal. Don't be hard on yourself. I did find in the beginning it was hard to keep at my calorie intake but now I find it easier.

Thanks for your support. I'm not a quitter and will carry on. One thing not drinking did was to lower my blood pressure; I'm now text book at 120/80 sometimes lower. I was up to 140/90 from a resting stand point.
