Wishing you a manageable Manic Monday 😲

Too much snow for me to make it to an early rheumatologist appt...but they switched it to a virtual visit for me later this afternoon 👏👏

I'm still having trouble eating more calories, so decided to make a few changes. I just can't eat ENOUGH salad & veggies to add up cuz I get too full. So I'm gonna try going back to REAL mayo & real butter (in moderation). Also trying to add nuts to meals. Maintenance is definitely a challenge for me. Any suggestions would be welcome, as I still haven't heard from a nutritionist since the referral. Thanks, in advance 👍🙋‍♀️

Avocado - if you can get them - are huge in natural oils and high in calories - I recognize your CI dilemma -related to meal portion sizes - you just cannot consume any more food in order to get the extra CI in a healthy way - without eating a chocolate bar (still only 220 calories) Nuts are high in calories and so are dried fruits ... yep - that is a dilemma.......eat heavier foods.

Maybe you should just let your body reach a Set Point - maybe that new Set Point is only a few pounds away - maybe your Goal weight is not your body's natural Set Point. If you are full and healthy with a good nutritional valued steady flow of food --- maybe your body needs to "arrive" at the natural Set Point - or - Plateau.

Good fats like coconut oil, avocados 🥑, nuts 🥜 , olive 🫒 oil, low fat unsweetened yogurt (you can add stevia or the like) and then add PB or almond butter. Serious continued weight loss could be hiding an illness. You prob should get blood tests. A routine but thorough physical.

I looked at your food diary and you are eating sugar free or low fat items that you should eliminate. Get rid of that creamer and use a full fat creamer. Ditch the 45 calorie bread for a whole grain bread or something like Ezekial which are about 100+ calories a slice. Stay away from all the artificial sweeteners and artificial fats and you can easily add some calories. If the day ever comes you need to reduce calories again you will know exactly where to focus. Also fat free Orville Redenbacher Kettle Corn and sugar free fudgesicles. So many items you could switch out for higher calorie versions.

@acomandr...I will add more tuna and dried salmon...thanks, but I just can't do raw fish (if that's what 'poke' is?)

@Livetoeat...I probably shouldn't even be talking about this problem when so many of us are trying to cut calories. I honestly don't intend to make it harder for anyone else! Please forgive me and please DON'T give up!!!

@Jergens...Yup...there are little things I can be doing to increase the total calories healthfully (more healthfully than mayo & butter, I'm sure). With all the snow out here in the boonies, I am eating what we have in the house and most of that is low-cal stuff 🤣 I will figure it out and all these suggestions are very helpful to me. Thanks💙

@Angela Storms...thank you for reminding me there are better choices than mayo & butter!😉 That's just what we happened to have on hand the last few days since the snow came. Actually, I have had blood work done recently and have been referred to a hemotologist (I just haven't got an appt yet). Nothing serious...just a few wonky items for them to sort💙 Thanks for your support and concern 🤗

@crazycatchick...I thank you for all your suggestions, and for taking the time to check out my food diary💙 We need a trip to the grocery store to maybe make some of those switches...but frankly, I'm scared the weight will start FLYING back on! I just wanna float right around where I am (within 1-2 pound range). I will reset my RDI to maintenance and see what it comes up with and go from there. Thanks again for taking time for me 🤗
