It is based on your BMI. If that person was really tall, then it would be okay to make an account.

I didn't know, I use the logging part and I list my weight for my own accountability. I also use social media part.

If anything, it is just motivation to actually reach 450 lbs, so I can say I beat the system and start using the site to track my weight for real, lol.

This is an ongoing scenario— that for some reason has not or cannot be fixed. You are doing the right thing. Just put in the weight that the program will accept and just get started. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot over it.

I'd suggest just entering your weight in the dialog box until then, I do similar since I'm tracking more details. don't rage against the machine.

Why so angry? Are you surprised. 450 pounds is a very high and critical weight and is nowhere near normal. Maybe instead of expressing all this tension and anger, you can use it this energy towards healing yourself.
Use this as a message that its really time to change.

@BodyQiAlchemi Yes, I am surprised that a website meant to help you lose weight will not let you if your BMI is life threateningly high. The reason I'm on this site at all is because I'm TRYING to change. I think perhaps you misunderstand the situation.
To everyone else, thanks for your support and suggestions. I will use the dialogue box to keep track of my actual weight. My first mini-goal will be to reach below 450!

I’m very sorry to hear about your experience. The site should be accessible to all weights! I’m also surprised since I’ve seen others log 500lbs on the site so I wonder what the site’s problem is? In any case, I hope you’ll stay with us. There is lots of great support here that I’d hate for you to miss out on.

Hmmm? I wonder if they set a max high for liability reasons. Maybe they should just have an alert pop up when someone’s BMI is dangerously high to warn them to see a medical provider and then let you join. It’s a great site. Helps to keep you accountable and it’s so easy to use. Keep trying. You did the first step and it gets easier every day 💪😀
