Setting a goal for the month of June: get down to 124.9 lbs/56kg.

According to my doctor, 125 lbs/56kg is actually the "perfect" weight for my frame (5'5"/1.65m, hourglass curvy, and small-boned). So while this isn't my final goal, health-wise it is. I also plan to have another lipids panel run to check on my cholesterol levels, as I need to drop 7 points on the total and reduce my LDL a smidge. Nothing earth-shattering, but the aim is the whole inside/outside package.

In the past couple of weeks, minus a few days babying myself after my second Pfizer vaccine, I've upped the exercise to include light jogging and strength training. Nothing hard core, just easing into it since all quarantine I've just done walking and hiking.

My rewards of hitting 124.9 by July 1st will be a pair of earrings and a membership to a Yoga/Pilates/Barre studio with 1 month of unlimited classes (which of course will help me get to my final goal of 118 lbs/53kg). I'm really missing the human interactions that in-person classes provide.

Just did a video of a barre class (hahahaha), or rather, did 15 minutes of one. Will try again either this afternoon or tomorrow to finish it. Would like to get good enough to take an in-person barre class without falling over or embarrassing myself in general.

Must stay motivated with that always-out-of-reach carrot! I've been researching studios lately, and lots of places offer a trial class for free. Love free! 💗

I live for the rewards! @Jimmie: everything is done with my doctor's blessing. She's my age and height, but actually weighs my goal weight of about 115. She's been very encouraging with my vaccine schedules, exercise, diet (vegan/vegetarian) and approach to lowering my cholesterol naturally. The holistic part (spa days and the aforementioned classes) is my doing, as are the rewards, but it's all pieces of the same puzzle to get and maintain health.

"Perfect" weight isn't as accurate when resistance training is incorporated. Bodyfat percentage and the mirror are better indicators than the scale. The scale doesn't account for what those pounds are comprised of. Muscle is more dense. I'll never be in the 140-160 range that a doctor would consider healthy.

I have to agree with diablo as well. Since I increased my weight training days , my weight is not moving on the scale as before, however my body is looking more toned and that’s what matters really

pcrav 1992- My guess is that your body is probably looking the best it ever has with weight training. It really shapes things.

@davidsprincess.. I was doing strength before but for the past week I am doing 5days strength , 2 days cardio. Challenging myself a little bit. My body will thank me for sure.
