I think that's fine. I wore slacks and a dress shirt to the last funeral I went to and didn't feel out of place at all. Can any of the dresses be salvaged with a belt? So sorry for your loss :(

Thanks everyone. I didn't want to be disrespectful. Kate, they're all HUGE through the shoulders and, since they were long anyway, almost touch the ground now. I have one jumper made of 70% silk/30% linen that I'm going to cut up and make something new out of. It has straight lines and the fabric is beautiful. The others are made of too many separate pieces to do anything else with. I'll just donate those. 

You're all so kind. Bren and Steph, I love you too!!! 

Just showing up is a sign of respect and kindness, I wouldn't worry about the clothes too much. Take care Johanne...

Hi Bren. It's been a horrid day in a horrid week. When I got home from the funeral, my daughter was having another crisis. I'm on my way to bed. I'm afraid I feel a little shattered. Thank you so much for the love. You have no idea how much I need it right now. 'Night dear. 

I am sorry to hear about your losses - sometimes hard times come in waves, and hopefully waves of easy times will follow soon!

Abba, I'm hoping things will damp down for a while. I'm going away this weekend. I just have to get out of the atmosphere at home.

Bren, I'm alright, just very drained and tired. I have no idea what I'm going to do about my daughter. My friend's memorial is this Saturday. I'm going to the one they're holding in June instead. This is just too soon after my aunt's. Love you too.
