My middle daughter (the one with me in the profile pic) expresses so much through her art. Yesterday she painted this. It makes me think how the darkness is so hard to endure, but we can't fully appreciate the light without the dark. We aren't thankful for the dawn without the night. Spring and new growth comes only after winter's death. The sun seems brightest after a storm. Thank God for new days!

I really luv the way the light creeps into and through the darkness as if saying to the darkness that it is not alone & it will not ever be alone bc w/o light, there can be no dark. I had a feeling it was water color, but I didn't want to overstep my knowledge of artistry. I too enjoyed painting, drawing, etc. when I was younger. What I really enjoyed the most was taking a tiny pic and making it into a larger version. My 2nd-born son would draw dark-sided pix when he was in Jr. high, mostly gargoyles and space creatures/vehicles/planets/vegetation/oceans of various colors/planets/moons/suns, etc. And, when he got married, he dabbled in advertisement drawings/paintings for stores/buildings, etc. THen, he began doing graphic-art online for musical artists album covers for the jeweled-boxes for their c.d.'s. Overall, I haven't continued in that area, but I do luv crafts/arts/ etc. I really admire your daughter's fine skill, patience, fortitude, and personal point-of-view(s) involved in depicting whatever the good Lord has in-bedded in her soul,mind, & heart. Thank you all so much for your kind and thoughtful words. I copied and sent to her all of these comments. I can't begin to express how much this means. She is trying to do a painting a day. I just especially loved this one. ❤️ I think all of us, on any stage of our journey, need to remember there is light ahead. We have to keep going forward.
