I´m getting obsessive about Atkins - trying to use this obsession to learn as much as possible about it. There is a lot to learn.

Have made mistakes though (think this is the best way to learn), today and yesterday I have had 2oz of carrots. I have also discovered that on Phase 1 we are not allowed more than 3 tablespoons of heavy cream. Plus I have been having watercress which isn't on the list although it appears to have less carbs than an iceberg lettuce.

I do hope it doesn't matter as I have been taking keeping carbs at under 20g a day.

Feeling much better on Atkins - like my head is less foggy and those despressive feelings look to have floated away. Probably me taking control has a lot to do with it. Achey bones feel much better.

Your so right. It is all a learning process. We have all made mistakes as for we are all human. Educating yourself is the best thing you could do for you journey. Have you been on the Atkins site? There is a place at the top of the page on the right that says "Learn Atkins". That is so full of info and it really educates you. It also gives you a list of acceptable induction foods. Very helpful. Best of luck to you on your journey.

Thanks LauPug1, yes I have been reading through the Phase 1 lesson ond the Atkins website and realised my mistakes. I have read the new book several times over, and each time I say 'I can't remember reading that!'. There is a lot to this WOE but I know it will soon become WOL. Thanks for the best wishes. I didnt know about the 3 tbs of heavy cream, good to know. I get pretty close to that when I have quiche, 1 tbs in coffee, and 16 in a whole quiche, I have a 1/6 slice which is 2.5 plus the coffee puts me over, oh well, thats not too bad, and anyway, it has 0 carbs If your watercress is low, it is probably not a problem, I think the list includes "normal" veggies people think of, for example, here we have luau leaves which is a taro leaf, not on the list but low carb so I eat it

Where are you from? I've never heard of luau leaves or taro leaf. At least the cream is a good fat to be over on.LOL You hang in there, take it from me, it will get easier.
