Day 3 of new me. Odd, yesterday's journal didn't seem to be recorded. Maybe I forgot to press save? I woke up late again today as I did yesterday. I've been fighting a cold and taking Zicam.

Got my Wii Let's Dance today, and wouldn't you know it, on the third song, "Girls just wanna have fun," I hear a "pop" and then excruciating pain in my hip joint. I'm like, WTH? I quit the Wii for a while, and am limping around. I've used some topical heat treatment and a heating pad. (wrong treatment I read later) It still hurts, but pain not acute anymore. I can live with it. I swear, I even warmed up first. I have had back problems before, but never my hips! I bike, hike, jog, walk, do yoga. Hmmm, must be my age, lol. This getting old really, really sucks.

Well not to be defeated after only 8 minutes on the Wii, I went back determined to try some more songs. I ended up doing the full 30 minutes, but this time tried the short version of every song and was very careful of my hip movements. I did feel pain while trying to push my hip out. Am hoping it is just a temporary thing so I can get back to regular exercise again tomorrow. Will do a lot more hip flexers and be warm before I try dancing again tomorrow. But boy is it fun! Love the oldies. Hoping to get hubby doing it with me. I read later that I should not work through the pain. Until I figure out what this is I need to apparently be careful. Hopefully nothing....

Well after reading a bunch about popping hip pain, I'm so discouraged. Everything says I should not do any type of exercise until the pain goes away :( That includes my usual bike riding! Well, I will ice and take Ib for a few days. I will definitely try some gentle yoga stretches. Wish me luck!

Do not google!!!!! Lol!!!! I swear everytime I get an injury I google it.. And then I freak out!!! Your gonna love fatsecret!! It's a great community with loads of support!!! (and lots of opinions too!!!) but overall everyone is great!! Welcome
